AI Realists is intrigued by the opportunities for better governance offered by tools like deliberative polling. The basic idea is to give individual citizens a chance to think through nuanced policy positions and to edit, revise, or generate new statements altogether. In Taiwan, government officials have even agreed to use the consensus generated by these types of polls to guide their legislation. The poll below uses pol.is, a tool designed for this purpose, combined with seed statements generated by AI Realists.
